Job Title: Toolmaker
Location: Aldridge, Walsall
Pay Rates: £35,000 per annum
Shift Patterns: Monday-Thursday 7am to 4pm & Friday 7am to 11am
We are working with a Leading Manufacturing company based in Aldridge. Opportunities like this don’t come around very often as their staff turnover is extremely low. However, due to circumstances within the company there is a space for an experienced Bench Hand to join the company.
Responsibilities:
- Design, manufacture and develop tooling for a range of fixtures.
- Developing tooling for press tools, stamping dies, jigging and fixtures and special purpose machinery.
- Maintenance and improvement existing tooling.
- Setting and programming of CNC machinery for small batch and development purposes.
- Using conventional toolroom and CNC machining techniques to manufacture components.
- Production of one-off specials to a high standard.
- Design for additive manufacturing and operation of various 3D printers.
- Involvement in Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
- Any other duties that may from time to time be reasonably expected.
Qualification/experience:
- Toolmaking experience.
- CNC machining knowledge and experience.
- Previous progression press tooling is advantageous.
- Proficient use of hand tools.
