Job Title: Bench Hand/ Fitter
Location: Aldridge, Walsall
Pay Rates: £35,000 per annum
Shift Patterns: Mon-Thur 7am to 4pm & Friday 7am to 11am
We are working with a Leading Manufacturing company based in Aldridge. Opportunities like this don’t come around very often as their staff turnover is extremely low. However, due to circumstances within the company there is a space for an experienced Bench Hand to join the company.
Responsibilities:
- Work from engineering assembly drawings.
- Assembling complicated aerospace parts.
- Use engineering measuring equipment to ensure accuracy.
- Use electric hand tools such as grinders, linishers, drills and polishers to achieve high quality finishes.
- Use of machinery, I.e. Lathe. I.e. Milling, surface grinder, radial and bench drillers.
- Use traditional hand tools to assist with assembly of products.
- Solve potential fitting issues and perform adaptations to ensure products fit and function correctly.
- Quality checking produce.
- Basic machine maintenance.
- General housekeeping duties.
Qualification/experience:
- Bench Hand experience.
- CNC machining knowledge and experience is not necessary but beneficial.
- Previous progression press tooling is advantageous.
- Proficient use of hand tools.
